Communications Training
Public awareness is vital to maximising the work we do, and We Act is all about amplifying our impact.
We Act offers communications training developed with the needs of charities and community groups at their core.
Whether you're part of a big comms team, or are a volunteer with limited resources, our training sessions offer practical tools and real-world insights from experts in their fields.

We Act joined forces with The National Lottery to bring you The Marketing Masterclass Series, in September 2022.
Building on the success of our Storytelling Series last year, these sessions were facilitated by experts who shared practical tips and useful takeaways to help you and your organisation reach the right audiences and make your marketing and communications efforts more effective.
Working with Influencers
A panel discussion on how to identify and approach the right influencers or celebrities for your organisation and work with them to amplify your events and campaigns. With Jen Walsh, Digital Board Director with Starcom, Alison Balfe, Communications and Brand Manager at Pieta and Taz Kelleher, one half of sustainability influencer duo, @TheUselessProject, this is set to be a lively conversation filled with useful insights and helpful takeaways. Watch the session here.
Swapping Engagement for Attention
How to adapt your communications for our ever-shortening attention spans. Stephen Cleary, National Lottery Social Media Manager and David Fogarty Digital Board Director at Starcom will discuss recent research on how you only have three seconds to grasp someone’s attention on social media – and how best to do it. If you run your organisation’s social media accounts, this one is not to be missed. Watch the session.
Building an Effective Marketing Strategy
Want to build a practical and actionable marketing plan for your organisation, fundraising event or awareness campaign, but not quite sure where to begin? Andy Pierce, Group Strategy Director at Core Media will take us through the process of identifying audiences, designing messages that resonate and finding the right platforms to share them. Another highly practical session with useful, real-world advice for communications staff and volunteers at every level. Watch the session here.
